Does anyone know of a good online digital Photograph printing services in India (preferably Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida) but not limited to that. I think the convenience provided is immense there. I was reading some figures on the digital camera sales/imports/smuggles in India and they were startling.
Well if we don’t have the service (my gut feel says so), so there we go……

Actually such a service was recently launched – 3 youngsters in Bangalore have started Picsquare – http://www.picsquare.com that lets you upload photos, tag them, and then order prints or photo gifts (greeting cards, coffee mugs, etc. Right now they accept USD payments but are also planning to support INR payment shortly.
The site is http://www.picsquare.com – check it out.
Sounds like a Good Business Opportunity.
Start an online photo printing site, make it popular and then wait for a big fish like HP or Flickr to acquire you.
Easy.
Well good points raised by Abhishek. I feel the only need for hard copy photos would be to render enlargements that you would like to decorate your wall with. The computer screen size is limited and therefore photo enlargements can attract adequate business. We can also look at things like collages and digitally mastered versions of photographs. For example, there are a lot of amatuer photographers out there who do not know how to digitally fix a photograph in order to reveal its true colors and sharpness, etc. Maybe an online photo renderer can work on both soft as well as hard copies for a nominal charge (Many of these processes can be automated as well). Comments please!
is anybody interested in doing a Qoop version for flickr?? I sure bet with mobile cameras on the rise – there is a big big market for this! I am just back from the US and really miss them 😀

Hi Sanjay,
I am taking the liberty to list some of my thoughts, just in case you might have missed any:
Think this:
Why would someone want to get hard copy of a picture clicked through a digital device?
Break it down to think these:
1] Why does someone click snaps?
2] What is the motivation for someone to buy a digital camera visavis an analog variant?
3] Why would you rather have hard copy of a snap and not just the soft copy.
4] Why are online photograph sharing sites such as flickr doing so well?
5] Who owns a digital camera?
Measure these:
1] People who own digital cameras but would want to show their snaps to people who dont have home/office computer access.
2] Fast forward 3 years, and estimate 1 again.
Factor in:
1] Trend in Comparative prices of
* equipment of production (digital camera and/or high resolution mobile cameras)
* equipment of consumption (computer)
2] Price of equipment as a percentage of family income/earnings of the person who you expect to use your service to order online prints.
3] Combinations with similar offerings:
*Producer: video recording cameras | Consumer: CD player+Television
*Producer: still digital cameras + software to convert set of jpegs to mpeg | Consumer: CD player + Television
