This article amused me so I thought I would share it with you all.
Today’s Hindustan Times has a front page article “No time for homework. Outsource it to Aunt Kaur”. For Rs. 350 you get your summer school project delivered to your doorstep in three hours. Guaranteed grade of B+ or higher. A detailed brief of how the project was done is also given so that the student is not caught outsourcing their school project. World Cup provided a boom and Aunt Kaur says she is not encouraging students to cheat but reducing stress in their lives.
After Generation X what will Generation Rest think of next. The byline on the article was Mansher Dhillon a class X student from Doon. He writes well.

Amazing! Same way outsourcing from US to India, I wonder in couple of years, every Indian woould start outsourcing their own work to some smaller country or may be to thier own fellow country men for cheaper labor!

You said that the article was written by “Mansher Dhillon a class X student from Doon. He writes well.”
Are you sure the writing of the article wasn’t outsourced as well? 🙂
Originality and creativity sacrificed at the altar of school education. It’s appalling….confirms two things –
a) Kids are over burdened with projects and pressure drives them to get ahead by any which way ;
b) ends matter, means don’t .
At the back end, there could be a collusion between school management and these service providers with some revenue share kicked back. Very bad trend….no incentive for originality and creativity.
This has been an established form of business for years. It has been going on in delhi since i remember from my school days odd 8-10 years ago.Very sophisticated and organised. They used to have lists available school wise/class wiss of projects need to be submitted as part of summer projects. With full manual on how to present it to teacher and how to write a report.
