Dear all,
We are introducing a new feature on venturewoods — this is an experiment with a job and resume board for startup opportunities, especially finding the core team members who share the passion for creating something out of nothing. We have received a lot of feedback that such people are not easily accessible through regular mechanisms, since bulk of people there seem to be looking for regular jobs.
To start, we have kept it simple, by creating two posting areas:
1. VentureJobs — Please feel free to post your company profile and jobs here
2. VentureTalent — If you want to become part of a startup team, please post your brief bio here
Both these are accessible from the venturewoods homepage on top right hand links under Page section. Lets start using this facility, and we will continue to evolve the features as we see more interest coming in. Thanks to Gaurav for putting the first version up.

I was looking exactly for something like this! Thanks.
Good that something did get started. It certainly was long overdue. It is going to be a lot useful in its present crude form too. A few months back, i had volunteered to get a more elaborate version up and tried coordinating with others but it couldnt materialise then. Maybe in sometime now.
This was long overdue and I dropped the ball a few times on this! If we get a really good response and if the need arises, we will setup a more elaborate job board. Techcrunch is an interesting model but it is full fledged business in itself! For now Alok and myself are just trying to support and help develop the startup community. The moment something is monetized, expectations grow 🙂
Excellent. Good simple way to start. Lets see usage.
By the way I think Tech Crunch would be a good business model to learn from if Venturewoods wants to grow. There could be volunteers like me who post but some paid people who do a really professional job.
If quality is good traffic will grow and the monetization is obvious.
Ofcourse Gaurav may not want to go in that direction which is fine too. Just a thought.
Great initiative Alok. My guess is this would be one of the best value adds from VentureWoods. This is what I call “Strategy in Action”.
All the best.
