Looks like the debate on who is bigger – Monster or Naukri – is reaching a crescendo. Well, both Arun and Sanjeev are good friends, and I clearly want to stay clear of that debate.
The debate that is worth having, in my view, is who has a better customer experience — both for job seekers and employers. More and more, the business is about building relationships with customers and getting higher usage (not just repeat revenues). By now these businesses are well past the awareness stage — they should be cultivating brand champions by now — and the basis for that is customer experience.
Any thoughts? (as a rule of the game, lets see if we can impose the self discipline of employees of Monster and Naukri abstaining from this, unless they do so with full disclosure).
Actually, also check out Clickjobs.com — we are an investor in the group company, and these guys tell me they have better customer experience than any of the other brands 😉 Following the above rule, I will abstain!

According to me, naukri and monsters both are the best job sites
Thank you,
Karan
i just want to know which site is better for getting jobs. is it naukri or clickjobs.com. somepeople are saying naukri is good some clickjobs. i kindly request you to help me which site is better as i am searching for jobs.
I agree with Krish. First off, i don’t buy the argument that fakes can get past a good interviewer. If he did, fire the interviewer, he isn’t good anyway.
What’s this big fuss about reference checks? I, for one, wouldn’t give a damn if i found the guy good. We are going to write code. people, not marry the guy. It’s my firm belief that only the mediocre, good-for-nothing companies lose sleep over this. I once interviewed at Microsoft and landed the job too (ahem..) but they didn’t give a shit about reference checks(It’s another story that i didn’t live there long). I’d like to give people a bit of free advice. Look for the passion. Give people their space. Technology companies, steer clear of people who want to just “manage”. If you hire these boors who don’t like to code and just want to manage, he’ll soon be telling passionate youngsters what to do. You’ll soon see frustrated employees.
With the hiring madness in India, it’s naive to expect Naukri to do all the screening. I find that the Naukri service is good (as a jobseeker) and yes i get a lot of mails, but i choose to reply to only those that interest me(companies with less than 100 people and who don’t have time for all the ref check crap)
We used Naukri (anong other channels) when we were trying to setup a new division of our company in India. While I was not involved in the comparision between naurki and monster (the two we considered), we really did find some very good candidates. Granted that the whole posting and managing process of the job could have been more streamlined, but we got what were looking for, some good talent who used to frequent the site and look for appropriate posting, at a fraction of the cost we would end up paying the search firms. Ofcourse with naukri 1/20 resumes was good and search firms after 2 rounds of briefing had 1/2 hit rate. So in some sense you get what you pay for. I would have never had website as my sole strategy to get talent (especially if you are under a deadline) but cost benefit analysis is a no brainer if you have the bandwidth to spend some time and seive through the resumes
Why dont people talk about last 2 months data, active users e.t.c.?? There is no point having historic data when there is no relevance on current active jobseekers in any particular jobsite.
In this case, I feel ClickJobs.com has more fresh and relevant resume and there is certainly a lot of innovation in the site in terms of ease of use, pleasing home page very well thought products for employers. I think their alexa ranking is souring and posing a threat for TimesJobs.com, if you closely monitor a past few days.
And customer support is excellent. I had done job postings and find the results are good over the last 15-20days.
Apparently these guys have done some high profiled tie-ups keeping them low profile (I think its good as a start up) I am talking about powering HindustanTimes.com’s job link.
As a Group BM is good in strategic tie-ups and increasing the credibility. Will have to wait and see…
I guess No 3 replacement is fast on the way! I heard that UK has 500 jobsites I am sure the best ones would do well and there is scope for many more good ones provided they innovate..
