I am a new user to VentureWoods and would like to introduce myself. I recently relocated from the Bay area to Mumbai as Director of Intel Capital’s $250M India-focused fund. (Intel Capital ) is the strategic investments arm of Intel Corporation. We invest in technology-related companies – stage agnostic (seed to PIPE) and $$ agnostic (largest deal was a $600M equity deal and we have done sub-$1M deals as well). We have been investing in India for about 8 years, and have done about 50 investments to date, with an active portfolio of 20+ companies.
I have been an entrepreneur myself, and am keenly interested in being around, and working with other entreprenuers and VCs. I am flying in to Delhi this evening for a Cleantech conference tomorrow. I am open this evening, and would love to meet people for drinks/dinner if anyone is interested in chatting about technology trends, startups, VC investing, relocating to India, Sunjay Dutt case, etc. 🙂 Please email me directly at pradeep.m.tagare@intel.com if interested.
I look forward to participating in discussions on this forum.

It was great hearing from quite a few people and meeting some entrepreneurs in Delhi last week. I was blown away by the entrepreneurial energy and the passion. Thank you for reaching out to me, and I hope to help as much as I can.
Gaurav, I will start posting my relocation experiences soon on my blog and here.
Pradeep,
I would love to know more about your experience with “relocating to India”. It will be great if you could share it with the blog readers who could not be in Delhi =).
