Senior Sales/Business Development Manager
An aggressive, high performing sales wiz who is willing to take his/her career to the next level by joining a high growth startup and participating in its upside. Someone who wants to quickly grow with a company into a senior management position rather than climb the long corporate ladder.
Responsibilities include:
• Generate leads
• Devise a rigorous sales calling and follow up schedule
• Pre-sales efforts: securing meetings with prospects, explaining the concept, giving product demos, putting the solution on drawing board and understanding the customization required for each solution
• Post-sales efforts: closing sales process, securing payment
• Provide inputs for overall sales strategy
Core selling skills: We need at least 2 years of sales experience in products, solutions or IT services selling. Experience in selling to the education sector would be helpful. Ability and experience in designing/executing on rigorous sales calling and follow up schedules is a must.
Consultative ability: The individual should be able to interact consultatively with senior management of prospective client organizations. This requires superior listening skills, sophisticated interpersonal and on-the-feet problem solving ability.
In the end, we are looking for someone who can manage the sales cycle end-to-end and generate tangible business for the company on a sustainable basis.
Ability to travel within the NCR or Pune/Mumbai region (as applicable) is a must.
Compensation: Compensation will consist of a salary component, equity, commission and performance related bonuses.
General Manager
A responsible and result-oriented manager who can take on a variety of roles within the organization and help with its overall business expansion. Someone who wants to quickly grow with a company into a senior management position rather than climb the long corporate ladder. In our startup, you would be expected to take on a much wider set of responsibilities than a large company setting.
Responsibilities include:
• Business Development: Proposal development. Sales and marketing strategy. Manage and coordinate with the sales/BD manager.
• Solution Development: Conceptualize and refine existing and new solutions for the education and commercial (non-education) practices. Develop sales and communication material to facilitate solution selling.
• Account management: Relationship management, Project Management, content writing, vendor management (for IT/technology work)
• Provide inputs for overall strategy of the company
Core skills: We need at least 2 years of experience in a management profile. Experience in selling to the education sector would be helpful. The person must have very strong communication skills (listening, writing, speaking). He/She must be an independent worker requiring minimal guidance and no micromanagement.
Consultative ability: The individual should be able to interact consultatively with senior management of prospective client organizations. This requires superior listening skills, sophisticated interpersonal and on-the-feet problem solving ability.
In the end, we are looking for someone who can assist the directors of the company in various business functions.
